Calamity Janet
Janet is a 5-year-old Paint/Quarter Horse. She is very sweet and friendly, loves to follow you around, be groomed for hours, and is always ready to accept a treat or two from anyone willing to offer. Janet is naturally very calm and peaceful. She is most likely to stand quietly while you talk about your feelings and the things you’ve been wanting to work through.
Although she’s always willing to share her peace with her human friends, Janet also has a spicy side when she is hanging out with her fellow herd-mates, and is great at teaching us the ability to assert ourselves and recognize boundaries.
Tom the Judge
Tom the Judge, or Tommy as we like to call him, is a 13-year-old retired racing Thoroughbred. Tom is sweet, goofy, affable, and loves to accept hugs and treats. A classic thoroughbred, Tom has a lot of energy and curiosity about his world. His high level of expressiveness is great for observing horse behavior and activity. He can help you learn how to observe your own feelings and reactions to your environment, especially if you’ve experienced trauma. Tom has fully recovered from a serious injury, and inspires us every day to not let our past experiences limit our ability to live life to the fullest.
Want to know a fun fact about our Tom? Although he’s a silly and down-to-earth kind of guy, he comes from legendary ancestry: his 5-times great-grandsire is the famous racehorse, Secretariat!
